New GDS Code (PL) for PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts

, 16 Jan 2009 – PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts announces the launch of a new Global Distribution System (GDS) chain code - “PL”.  This new GDS code takes effect on 21 January 2009, and the six existing PARKROYAL hotels in its portfolio will be represented by the unique “PL” designation.

With the recent integration of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts (GDS code “PF”), and PARKROYAL Hotels and Resorts into Hotel Plaza Group, PARKROYAL’s new GDS code is created to maximise the exposure in the online distribution of both established brands.

The current seven PARKROYAL hotels and service residence are in Asia, namely: PARKROYAL on Beach Road, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road and PARKROYAL Service Residence in Singapore, PARKROYAL Penang and PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, PARKROYAL Yangon in Myanmar and PARKROYAL Saigon in Vietnam.
