PARKROYAL APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

NEWLY CREATED POSITION SUPPORTS GROUP'S ASIA EXPANSION STRATEGY

Singapore, December 18, 2007:  Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts has appointed Jean-Marc Lafosse as Director of Operations, supporting the Group’s expansion across the Asia region.

Mr Lafosse has 30 years experience in all aspects of hotel operations internationally, including administration, marketing and business development.

As Director of Operations, he will spearhead the operations strategic plan and initiatives of Parkroyal group.  He will also be responsible for the financial aspects as well as overseeing the service quality standards.

Mr Lafosse reports directly to the President and CEO of Parkroyal’s parent company, UOL Group Limited.

Before joining Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts, Mr Lafosse was Group Director of Operations for the Central Group of Hotels in Bangkok, overseeing operations at the company’s 11 properties.

During his career, he has spent a total of 20 years in senior positions in the hospitality industry in Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
