Singapore 11 October 2010 – PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts has launched GHA Discovery, its guest loyalty programme.
Built on the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) platform, GHA Discovery is an innovative multi-brand loyalty programme that offers guests across GHA’s 12 brands and nearly 300 hotels enhanced service and recognition.
GHA Discovery stands out from most hotel loyalty programmes by offering guests “Amazing Local Experiences” as rewards. Its focus is on ‘discovery’, providing guests with opportunities to participate in unique experiences that they may otherwise not have access to. Consequently, guests not only get airline miles as with other loyalty programmes, they also enjoy a Local Experience that they can redeem each time they upgrade to a membership level or stay at a new GHA Discovery brand.
Local Experiences also differ for various hotels across member brands. Some of the Local Experiences offered at PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts include:
- Watching turtles hatch on Kerachut Beach and learn about the breeding programme when you stay at PARKROYAL Penang, Malaysia.
- Enjoying a personalised short lesson on Myanmar dance, playing the harp/xylophone at PARKROYAL Yangon, Myanmar.
- Enjoying a private culinary workshop with a Master Chef from Si Chuan Dou Hua restuarant at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, Singapore.
Membership is complimentary and guests can enroll online at parkroyalhotels.com, or in person at any PARKROYAL hotel or resort around the world. There are three tiers of membership: Gold, Platinum and Black, with members moving through the tiers as they accumulate room nights. Local Experiences become more exciting and exclusive with each tier.
“This exciting new guest loyalty programme was based on extensive customer research which revealed that guests don’t value the collection and redemption of points as much as they do recognition and benefits that make a stay memorable,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and Chief Executive of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, which operates PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts. “GHA Discovery delivers on all of that by offering its members authentic and unique adventures wherever they travel – experiences which will recall that travel is really all about discovery.”
