PARKROYAL Darling Harbour has commenced a multi-million dollar refurbishment to capture the spirit of Sydney. The refurbishment is set for completion September 2012 and will include the hotel’s guest rooms as well as the club lounge and lobby. The refurbishment is inspired by today's travellers, their needs and expectations., PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney will feature enhancements that complement the PARKROYAL brand while providing a unique character that is in harmony with its iconic Australian location. Located on the city-side of Darling Harbour and only minutes away from the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre, George Street, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Building, the revitalised PARKROYAL Darling Harbour will reflect the individuality of its location and provide a modern, comfortable and supportive guest environment in line with the International PARKROYAL brand. The refurbishment will also incorporate the latest technology and innovation to deliver an enriched level of comfort and convenience.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Vice President of Finance(based in Singapore) and Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting matters pertaining to the Hotel
  • Lead, managing and mentor the Finance and IT team..
  • Driving continuous improvement by streamlining procedures and systems within the hotels.· Preparing and monitoring the Hotel annual operating budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Providing accurate and timely financial information to Operational Departments.
  • Focus on maximising profitability of the hotel.
  • Preparation of accurate financial reports managing deadlines.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies; Taxation and Auditors to ensure compliance
  • Ensure Insurance and contractual matters are administered

Ideally you will have:

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting
  • CPA/ACCA qualification is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a Hotel environment
  • Extensive experience in accounting with solid knowledge of Australian accounting practices and taxation law
  • Experience with SAP is desirable
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be eligible to live and work in Australia
