Rewards for Chefs from Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur

Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur won several awards at the Culinaire Malaysia 2007 held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 22 – 25 August 2007.

Chef de Partie, Hafizi bin Che Khosni bagged two awards with the Gold Medal in the Ice Carving category and Silver Medal for the Fruit Carving category. Mohd Razalee bin Mod Salleh won the Bronze Medal in the Hot Cooking Fish/Seafood Main Course category while Siri Teven a/l Chandram won the Diploma in Hot Cooking Fish/Seafood Main Course category.

The chefs walked away with medals and certificates during the event. In addition, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur is rewarding its chefs with monetary prizes, Gold Medal with RM150, Silver Medal with RM100 and Bronze Medal with RM50 as a gesture of appreciation for their hard work and recognizing their talent.

Culinaire Malaysia 2007, a prestigious event held in conjunction with the Food and Hotel Malaysia, is jointly organized by the Chefs Association of Malaysia (CAM), Malaysia Association of Hotels (MAH) and Malaysian Food & Beverage Executive Association (MFBEA), approved by the World Association of Chefs Societies.

The competition challenged the chefs’ culinary skills from Cold Display to Patisserie, Artistic, Hot Cooking Team Competition and Service in the Individual Competition, Apprentice Competition and Team Competition compromising 30 different classes.
