Australian Wagyu 7 Beef Steak

Maria's Restaurant And Cafe Damansara Perdana
If you like steaks, you’ve got to try Maria's Cafe's signature steaks. We were served with the Australian "Wagyu 7" beef steaks. Naturally, they tasted really good, tender and had nice texture. Order it medium or rare, and enjoy all its meaty goodness. At RM95/100gm for a wagyu 7 steak, I was informed the price was pretty reasonable for the quality of the meat. Opening Hours: 12pm – 11pm, Mon – Sat / 5pm – 11pm, Sun

The Peanut Butter Crab

Fei Fei Crab Restaurant Aman Puri Kepong
More seafood! Served with peanut sauce, this dish itself was really creamy, and the crabs were huge to say the least! With its big claws and all, there will be ample crab meat to go around. Of course, it depends on how hardworking you are to crack open the shells. For me, I really liked the "man tou" or fried Chinese steamed buns that came along with the dish. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. When dipped in the peanut butter sauce, it was heavenly. Opening hours: 11am – 2:45pm / 5pm – 11pm.

Crispy Fried Mushroom

Outback Steakhouse Bukit Bintang
You would think steak would be a must-try at a steakhouse but I have to say, Outback Steakhouse has one of the best Fried Mushrooms which I havetried. In fact, this is one of their signature dishes in which locals actually come back again and again just to savour those moist yet crispy fried mushrooms. I like the fact the batter is really crispy, yet still maintaining the flavour and the moistness of the mushrooms. Lightly breaded, served with spicy ranch dressing, this dish is a must-order if you're dining at Outback.
Opening Hours: 12pm – 12am.

Fried Butter Prawns

Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant PARKROYAL KL
Set aside your health-conscious side with the Fried Butter Prawns from Si Chuan Dou Hua. The prawns were big and juicy, peeled and fried with butter served with some vegetables on the side. The butter really brought out the flavour, coupled with the freshness of the prawns. Succulent, juicy and tasty, this is well recommended.

Kim Yang Lamb Cutlets

Sanook Restaurant & Bar Kelana Jaya
Lamb lovers would fall in love with Sanook's Kim Yang Lamb Cutlets. Here, we had juicy pieces of lamb cutlets coated in a special Korean sauce, with accompanying Kimchi. We loved this dish for it’s softness and tastiness as the meat was marinated before being grilled to perfection.

Curry Fish Head

Herbs & Spices Restaurant Sri Petaling
Yet another unique Malaysian dish is the Curry Fish Head which was seasonally priced. The version from Herb & Spices uses New Zealand Ling fish head as their main ingredients. Personally I liked the curry a lot, as it was thick and full of flavour.

Colombo Styled Crab

A Li Yaa Restaurant Bukit Damansara
For an alternative from the rich and creamy Peanut Butter Crab, try A Li Yaa’s Colombo-styled crab dish. Be prepared though, because it was made with hot and spicy black pepper. I actually prefer this for its spiciness and great taste.
