18 January 2008:  Parkroyal Penang recently hosted an appreciation dinner themed “A Batik Evening” for 300 of their top supporters at their Andaman Grand Ballroom.

 

Invited guests clad in colorful and attractive batik attires were welcomed by batik-attired staff for an evening of good food, fun games, entertainment dance show and a special St. Gregory spa shoulder, neck, head and hand massage treat for total relaxation.

 

Resort general manager Mark Losi expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees in his welcome speech. “Annual appreciation parties and dinners for our supporters and clients are organized on a regular basis to extend our appreciation and to build a closer rapport,” he explained. “More appreciation dinners will be held on a monthly basis to continue our exercise of showing our heartfelt thanks to our supporters and we hope to grow and improve our work relationship for mutual achievement.”

 

Entertainment highlights for the evening included a band performance by the resort’s resident strolling band, a series of modern dance performances, fun games, the best dressed competition – male and female category and the main attraction of the night, the lucky draw.  Lucky winner Candice Yeoh from United Overseas Bank beamed with joy when she walked away with the main lucky draw prize of a two-night stay with breakfast for two persons in the resort’s presidential suite – Francis Light Suite, worth RM5400 in total cash value.

The best dressed competition winners, silently judged by resort spa manager Lenny Lieke,  went to Dr Mohd Jefri bin Zainol Abidin from USM and Cik Faridah binti Ibrahim from Sony Electronics. They each won themselves a one-night stay with breakfasts for two persons in a Grand Deluxe Seaview Balcony Room for dressing up in elegant batik outfits.
