Your PARKROYAL on Pickering Photo Connection

The judging panel of ‘Your PARKROYAL on Pickering Photo Connection’ have announced the winners of the photo competition, launched in 2012 to celebrate the opening of the iconic hotel. The top accolade has been given to 38-year old freelance creative designer Jeff Lee Chan Wai. He will be the lucky recipient of the grand prize of a five-day, four-night trip for two, inclusive of flights from Singapore to Shanghai and accommodation at the upcoming PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Green City, Shanghai (opening  mid-2013).

The three-month photo competition which ran from December 2012 to February 2013 received more than 300 entries. Each entry had to capture the photographer’s connection with PARKROYAL on Pickering and was accompanied by a 100-word description of the inspiration behind the image. These were later shortlisted and judged according to their creative element and relevance to the theme by our panel of three judges; supermodel, FLY Entertainment artist and eco-activist Nadya Hutagalung; photographer, Justin Ng and Microsoft’s Southeast Asia Photo Editor, Lim Wui Liang.

We will now leave you to enjoy the Top 10 winning entries -a collection of abstract, nature-inspired and stunning moments captured at Singapore’s first hotel-in-a-garden!

"It is a refreshing change to see a stylish hotel consists of unique symmetry of shapes and lines with beautiful mirrored surface in the heart of Chinatown. The incorporation of nature and the infinity pool really give us the sense of relaxation and freedom amidst the fast paced city life.  This image of mine captured a passing pigeon with the cage-like gazebo at the infinity pool, illustrating the freedom we experienced when staying at PARKROYAL on Pickering."
 Position 2 - Rob Witworth
