There is no tram direct from Melbourne Airport. Tram Route 59 arrives at the Airport West terminus and connects to Melbourne Airport by shuttle bus.

Picking up a car hire from Melbourne Airport is an easy and convenient way to travel through the city and beyond. Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Thrifty and Redspot all have car hire stations on-site on the ground level of the short-term car park, as well as information desks located within the domestic terminals.
Melbourne CBD is roughly 24 kilometres south of the Airport and is easily reached via the M2. During rush hour, leave at least 30 minutes to get to and from the downtown core.
