War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City
Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, the War Remnants Museum is one of the Ho Chi Minh City's most popular war museums. Focusing first and foremost on the revolutionary Vietnam War, which heavily involved the American military, the museum's eight themed exhibitions are aptly displayed in the same building that once housed the United States Information Agency.
War Remnants Museum Exhibits
Open daily from 7:30am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the War Remnants Museum's many spectacles provide a window into the past from a distinctly Vietnamese perspective. Beyond the complex, the exhibits continue with military helicopters, fighter jets and an arsenal of undetonated explosives dispersed throughout the grounds, as well replicas of the "tiger cages" – infamous enclosures used to contain prisoners of war on Con Son Island.
After an afternoon on the front lines retreat back to the modern style and comfort of PARKROYAL Saigon, an ideally located hotel near the War Remnants Museum, conveniently located just 15 minutes away.
